I’m Harold Williams, I live in SE Vancouver, WA, and I love to sing and play the ukulele.

I specialize in songs from the “Great American Songbook”, which is a general term referring to American standards from early to the mid twentieth century. The ukulele was a popular jazz instrument in the early 1900’s and many of my songs have a jazzy feel. I also play some newer songs as well as a collection of Hawaiian and Irish tunes. I also occasionally play classical or renaissance music, channeling the ukulele's "inner lute".

My songs seem to resonate with residents, being from their era. I love playing the old standards, and I am happy that my audiences enjoy listening to them and singing along.

My audiences also include residents under memory care, and research has shown that music memories  are preserved even in advanced Alzheimer's patients, allowing them to enjoy and benefit from performances. I am thankful that the power of music can bring joy and connection to people lives.
